Vista Murrieta High School is a Murrieta Valley Unified School District campus on Clinton Keith Road, known for its size, its California Distinguished School designation, and an award-winning marching band program.

History and Significance: The school opened in August 2003 as the second comprehensive high school in the district, built to relieve overcrowding at Murrieta Valley High School as Murrieta grew rapidly after its 1991 incorporation. Its 68-acre campus is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, and its Golden Alliance marching band and color guard won a Bands of America Regional Championship in 2016 along with the Sudler Shield Award from the John Philip Sousa Foundation.
